I have had passion to create my own apparel for a long time but I was not in an environment that really makes it easy for me to start up a business like that. Moving to the United states, I found myself in an environment that is entrepreneurial friendly and can allow me to be the best I can be and allows me to explore my passion for fashion.¨

Lan Banks© is a new apparel brand with concept products designed for a contemporary culture that focuses on comfort, simplicity and technology of materials. Through its extension concept, adaptability and comfort are applied to all its expressions to find a just and comfortable connection with the user. Lan Banks interprets the global user from his behavior in movement, change and in transition. It thinks about products from the climatic changes, the transportability and the reuse of all its elements.
The project was inspired in the classic style; African language; Fela Kuti ideology and the streets of Chicago.
The concept of the brand symbol represents the elasticity and stretch expressed by the essence of the products. Comfort, relax and adaptability. The typographic application emphasizes the idea of stretching through its space between letters and seeks to represent versatility by exchanging the axes of position and reading.
The Claim: ¨Streched by you¨.
The visual system was created based on the idea of elasticity. The applications describe a formal implementation of the isotype distorting its intervention in search of the idea of stretching and versatility on the different surfaces.
The typography of modernist roots and elegance responds to the project's style needs. The system of icons is linked to the morphology established by the brand as another expression in the voice of the brand.

Here and now we had to be born. At this time, fleeting and dizzying, in which fashion happens, fast. In which the weather changes, not always for the better. In which trends come and go without we can even warn them. Only the good transcends, only the solid remains.
